This is the United States Vietnam Veterans Military Assistance Command,Special operations patch.[current issue]. known as MAC-SOG. though the patch was never officially approved by the United States Military the patch normally made at the wearers expense in Vietnam was used by the men on the ground during the second Indochina War[Vietnam War].The units normally operated in clandestine , covert & unconventional warfare operations "Black Ops".prior to & after the United States entered the war officially.
