"US airmen deploying to Vietnam in the early 1960s wore sateen combat fatigues with full color badges. New jungle fatigues were shortly introduced, but the two uniforms were worn side by side thoughout the war. MAC personnel took a great deal of ribbing from their Tactical brethren about "flying a load of Dixie cups to La Paz", but in truth, MAC made many resupply runs to isolated bases under heavy fire."
